Sociology

 The sociology concentration taught me about society as a whole and how it functions. I learned about poverty and crime; I also learned that we need crime in order to function. With out crime there would be a lot less jobs available, such as policemen and security officers. This concentration also taught me how important education is in society and that with out it society could not function.

 

Education

From the educational aspect I learned a lot about children, their behaviors,’ learning abilities and about their emotions.  I also learned about learning disabilities and how people that have them function day to day. I learned a lot about cultures and different countries. This concentration area has helped me understand the importance of school and success in the lives of kids.
