Core Coursework

BIS301

In this class I learned how to make a portfolio and a resume. I also learned how to make business cards all of which will help me get a job in the future because I know how to make a professional portfolio and a resume and how to present my concentration areas to potential employers.

BIS302

In this class I learned how to step out of my comfort zone and work with classmates in a major group work activity. This experience will help me in the real world because often in the work force you work as a team and when the time comes I will be prepared.

BIS401

In this class we were required to take part in an off campus internship. This was a great experience as I taught math to incoming high school freshmen. In this class I learned how to help students with their work and how to become a good teacher by observing the class and the teacher’s teaching methods. This was the most valuable class because I got to apply the knowledge to the real world.

BIS402

In this class I learned about the twelve archetypes and how they are expressed in our everyday life. From these archetypes I also learned more about myself and who I really am. This class has been very valuable to me as I prepare to enter the real world.
